Imprint studio is run by its Director Renée Therrien and a number of dedicated volunteers. It’s a silk-screening studio set up for teens to create and print their own t-shirt designs; one to keep, and the others to sell to friends, family, and anyone else! The students are taught the process, given independence and creative license, and are able to sell their work for profit at our annual Fundraising Banquet and other events. The goal is growth – growth as individual artists and growth as a community. We strive to foster a sense of community and warmly welcome all who are interested to come and participate in developing their art and friendships in a safe and fun environment. The staff and volunteers are present to teach and to mentor, and are deeply invested in the lives of the youth as well. We strive to see each student have the opportunity to hear the life-giving message of Jesus, and to respond in the context of an ongoing relationship between them and the staff. We exist to create art, to listen intently, to foster community, and to extend the hands and feet of Jesus.
The studio is open every Tuesday and Thursday from 3-6 p.m. Anyone from ages 13-18 is welcome; you don’t have to be a great artist, you just have to want to learn! The cost to join is 50$ per semester.
